Kathleen Whitaker in her home studio:

SMALL payday loans VERY CHEAP

Last week we headed North to

visit Kathleen Whitaker, Beatrice Valenzuela &

Samantha Grisdale in Los Angeles.

These lovely ladies invited us up for the day to

visit & tour their amazing homes & studios.

The following post is a peek into their amazingness & our afternoon adventure.

It’s a long one. So much beauty…

Tools of the trade & tiny ceramic pieces ready to be fired that

Kathleen makes uses to display her earrings.

more of her ceramic pieces & jewelry.

…this selection available at LMNOP.

She made this lovely hot pink paper pod! Oh my.

super pregnant Chi…still shooting away. Always.

Treats!

A weaving made by Beatrice Valenzuela using natural fibers

& a braid of artist Mari Eastman’s hair.

Some sweet treats on Kathleen’s patio from Cookbook in Echo Park…

We couldn’t resist stopping into Cookbook on our way to Beatrice’s for lunch

after tasting this ginger cake. Seriously delicious.

Kathleen’s magnificent garden!

We got side-tracked for a second…

& then there was Cookbook.

We will never be the same. Every town needs a Cookbook.

…on to Beatrice’s:

Beatrice with a pair of the adorable leather baby booties she makes.

She gave this pair to Chi-Lin on our way out- too sweet!

Beatrice with one of her weavings; her husband, Ramsey, made the table.

Her shoes in all their glory.

LMNOP carries Beatrice’s line of children’s shoes in bright blue leather.

Another one of her husband Ramsey’s pieces-

a brass light fixture that hangs in their living room.

Beatrice & Ramsey’s three year old daughter, Astrid,

helping us sort through the shoes.

one of a series of sculptures made by Ramsey & Astrid cast in metal

from objects found by them on their frequent walks in the neighborhood.

Dress-up time

A wall hanging in Astrid’s room

Light, bright kitchen

The neighbor’s porch…snapped on our way out.

Our last stop of the day was to Samantha Griswald’s home & studio that she

shares with her husband John, also an artist, and their two daughters.

More amazingness & beauty abounded…

Some of Samantha’s leather clutches, purses & belts in progress in her studio.

Samantha & John work side-by-side in a small cottage studio

across the patio from their home.

Samantha & John’s sweet, sweet daughters in the studio.

Tools.

It was a good day.

LMNOP will be hosting some of Kathleen, Beatrice & Samantha’s

work at the shop during a week-long trunk show, May 25th-June 1st.

Join us & meet Kathleen, Beatrice & Samantha on

Friday, May 25th, 5-9pm, at the opening party.

Details to follow as they take shape.

XO,

LMNOP
